After nearly two decades of dreaming about bringing Hope to the addicted in Aruba in the form of a residential and outreach programs it finally became a reality. HOPE HAS A ADDRESS in Aruba!

Shawn and Shanon Blankenship served Adult & Teen Challenge Aruba as missionaries to assist in the establishment of a program, train local leadership for the program and conduct community awareness meetings for Teen Challenge.

The drug and alcohol problem on the island is one of the top social issues that needs to be addressed. The programs currently here as well as the Government are overwhelmed at the magnitude of the problem. Currently there is not a single residential bed available for the addicted women of the island. The number of homeless addicted men is nearly overwhelming. It would take a program with more than 100 beds just to serve the homeless population. Each week Shawn & Shanon spoke with numerous addicts that are longing for help but with no place to go. They helped many but the need its great!

The Blankenship's served TCA for one year and continue to give support as Teen Challenge of Aruba continues PUTTING HOPE WITHIN REACH of every addict in Aruba!
Over a two year period, the Shawn, Shanon and the TCA team led & hosted missions teams that were a tremendous blessing to the island! Several teams from Memphis Teen Challenge Men's Program and the ladies from Freedom House Oklahoma Teen Challenge came to help the TCA with community outreach, training, prison ministry and facility improvements and pouring into the people of Aruba. Each team had such an amazing impact on the program. The teams from Freedom House Teen Challenge focused on identifying needs for women struggling with life controlling issues. They an amazing impact from ministering in the prison, to homeless outreach as well as having a powerful impact sharing Hope in a local church.
